Agreed. The Futur is an awesome shaving tool. I have a Fatboy. It doesn't compare.

I will echo everyone else and recommend a Slim Adjustable. The Merkur products while good, will never have the quality of the vintage Gillettes. And it is not just a matter of it being vintage. Merkur razors from the same time period are still not as well made as the Gillettes, IMHO.

Fat Boys are nice razors, but they command some ridiculous prices on eBay, as do the Super Adjustables.

+1 to the local boy. I always preferred Slims to Fat Boys. Plus, they can be had for considerably less.
