That is what you get when medics sell their soul to the big companies. At the same time I have seen B&B grow from around 6,000 members when I joined to close to 30,000 members now. Feather introduced a +$100 razor and lots of small quality-stuff shops and manufacturers started in that time as well so luckily common sense is still out there!

It's worth noting that with just a little bit of digging, it appears that this 'doctor' has his own line of skin care stuff called Stallex. He also has founded and owns several other product lines. I wouldn't listen to anything this guy has to say as a result.

You can't blame him too much; everything he has said is pretty much conventional wisdom. Shave gels are probably better than a lot of foams in terms of glide, and DEs are quite a bit more difficult to master than any razor that's come out in 30 or 40 years.

But all Doctors aren't quacks. Only a few of them sell their souls to merchandisers. And bear in mind what my more scientific-minded physician would say... most doctors really aren't trained as scientists. They are more like mechanics and engineers. Plus they have a host of folks with stuff to push converging on them.
Gonna hafta get one of them lab coats so I can get me some cred.
