What's new

My ebay wins? Do you guys ever bid or offer not expecting to win?

Have you guys ever made on offer or bid on an item not thinking you were gonna win but just for the hell of it. well i just did that about 4 times and i won every single one. I dont know if i did bad or good you guys can take a look and decide but i know i have ZERO control now. Im a addict for razors and I seriously need to join the restraint thing.

1st bid was on a box for duble ducks and i only have 1 duck with no box

and you guys dont even wanna know the 4th dumb buy i made.

Yep, happens to me sometimes. I'm also an ebay addict, so I win stupid things when I really shouldn't. Some don't end badly though, I won a slim at a very cheap price, and it works perfectly, and just yesterday I won a lot of 3 bakelite slant razors with original boxes and blades without even checking!

Jealous. Those things look AMAZING!

I'll place a bid on something that I'd like to have, but rather than play the sniping game, I'll put in my maximum bid and let it play out. I lose more than I win this way, but that's fine by me.

same here. but I do end up winning a number of items I then wonder why I bid on to begin with...

alas, scotch and ebay don't always mix. LOL

That's what I do too, now. When I first started looking on the bay a few eeeks ago I was looking for a Slim. I put in bids on 3 of em, then realized after I bid if I win all of them I will have 3 Slims in my den. Luckily, I only won one of em. Learned that lesson.

Oh I've won many auctions I didn't really want to.
My problem is I'll put a low bid on something then find the same thing only a little nicer so I bid on that one too.
Then I end up with two instead of one.

Yup! For me it was several lots of Gillette Super Speeds and Knacks. I've given away 8 of the original 15 to friends and family. In a way it stopped me from getting serious RAD when I realized that they all shaved the same.

Some sniping programs let you bid on multiple items in a group. If you win one of those items the rest of the snipes in that group are cancelled. So you can low ball bid on 10 Fatboys without winning them all. Or conversely you can bid you max highest on them without winning all of them and having to declare bankruptcy.

Ill give you all a hint on the 4th thing I won, a pretty scaled straight razor that turned out to be that same model as 1 i won in a lot of 5 for 2x the price. so $40 for 1 razor vs 80 for 5 but all are decent makes.
