I've asked Gabor Buddel to make me my dream razor. It's going to be a 6/8, French point Damascus steel blade with a 1/4 hollow grind. It's going to be shoulderless and the blade is going to be wrapped in mammoth ivory scales.
Now just comes the wait.

Congrats! Seriously...but it is my most fervent hope that I never consider such a fine razor for myself.


I just want to enjoy a smooth comfortable shave, old-school style. I have other things that take up my disposable income. I surely do not need another

Gabor sent me a picture today of my blade.

To say I'm happy with it is an understatement. It beautiful. I can't wait until I see it in mammoth ivory scales.

I've also arranged to get a design of my initials laser etched into the non pivot end of the scales so the piece is uniquely mine.

The razor should be ready to post to me in around 3 weeks.
