My brushes. Excuse how dirty they are, but most are used at least occasionally, some frequently.
The first three photos are recent vintage brushes:
L to R
Omega boar, I customized the handle to add weight to it. Used at least weekly.
Omega boar, I forgot I owned this one til I decided to dig out the group for a photo
(these omega boars are fantastic and huge bang for the buck)
Omega boar (this is the model Pro 49 and is a big monster)
VanDer Hagen boar from CVS pharmacy or something. These are pretty good for cheap boar knots. This example is probably 15 years old or so.
Kent pure bristle. Decent little brush but you pay more for the Kent name and I dont find them worth the premium.
Parker from Amazon. Not bad for a cheaper badger brush. A little scritchy for my likes.
Kent banded boar. Again, decent brush but not worth the Kent premium. And notice the handle, this is my big gripe with natural wood handles. This brush has had less than 10 uses.
Then the vintage brushes:
L to R
Made Rite 7650, pure badger. Nice little brush and a model that I have not seen elsewhere.
Aristocrat pure badger. Unused brush with a painted wooden handle. Brush is labeled "Made in Western Germany"
Made Rite that I reknotted with a Golden Nib badger knot (extra hair). Pretty much a daily use brush.
Made Rite #62. Another reknot with a GN badger.
Kleenzo banded boar. This is new-old-stock, unused. Unfortunately, the knot doesnt have the backbone that I prefer. Ive got a new knot on order for this.
Rubberset with the screw-apart handle. Another work in progress, new knot on the way.
And the common EverReady C40. Another restore project in the works.
Hope you enjoy.
