My birthday was last Thursday, and I had been bidding on a Flaretip Super Speed that was made in 1963, my birthyear. Well I won it, and the money went out on my birthday. The Razor arrived today and I hadn't shaved yet....:001_smile So I ran some Barbicide over it, and rinsed and loaded it up with a Gillette Yellow 7-Oclock. Some Cade lather and the 47 year old Razor kicked some stubble butt. I LOVE THIS RAZOR!!! I had built it up in my mind, but it lived up to the task....a great shave!

The last photo makes it look like there is some brassing...NOT...this thing is great looking...in fantastic shape...I am the same age as this razor...I wish I was in as good of shape:lol:

I love this razor and I am so pleased.

What a great story!
I have yet to find my birthyear razor (V4)...but look forward to the day I do!

I've got a C1 ball end Tech, birth year and quarter. Paid more for it than I would ordinarily for that kind of razor, but not too bad.
And a C4 Super Speed, birth year but not birth quarter. Paid about average for an above average condition razor.

Congratulations Bloodhound on sniffing out yours.
