my ADP experiment

I received a sample of ADP shave cream in a tube along with samples of the balm and the lotion. I already own the ADP in a tub. Over the weekend i decided to compare the two products. I used a Joris razor loaded with a fresh bolanzo blade on 2 day growth. I used a small amount of the cream in the tube and boy did it lather (I bowl lathered)! It was easier to lather than the tub.

I then proceeded to shave and got one of the smoothest irritation free shaves ever. I then used the balm, which is very runny. It was good(not great)but it did leave my skin smooth. Even though it is alcohol free, I did detect a little bite to it momentarily.

Today, after 1 1/2 days of growth, used the same razor and blade combo but used the tub instead. I face lathered the tub and, for me, it took more effort to lather. The shave was close but not as smooth as the tube variety. I feel that the lather in the tub was drier and not as slick as the tube version. I again used the balm afterwards and liked it , but don't know if i would buy it at that price. I have used the lotion before and i actually prefer the lotion to the balm.

All in all very fine products that make me feel great when I use them but i think the tube beats the tub and a little goes a long way.

I'd guess the tub is quicker to dry out than tube.

As far as the balm, IMHO its nicer than any other balm I have tried. Doesn't leave skin tacky or have a chalky scent or suntan lotion scent.

I do agree though that the lotions are sweet.
