I couldn't help myself, I went back to the drugstore today to buy up the last few bottles of Aqua Velva in the glass bottles they had, then went next door to the Dollar General to buy some of their double edge razor blades, and see if they had Barbasol Pacific Rush. Wow! This stuff is great! I've used the Barbasol green stuff, which I like ok enough, but this Pacific Rush is really something else! If you haven't tried it, do so, for under $2 how could you possibly go wrong? It starts mentholly, and dries to something slightly reminiscent of Nautica. Very soothing.

I bought some of the Green yesterday and LOVE it.
They had the blue sitting next to it and I didn't get it but it smelled great.

I bought some Dollar General blades too. Still a newb going through my sampler pack so don't know when I'll try them. Mine say "Made in Korea" and I've read they might be Dorcos.
I am gonna shave right away and use Pacific Rush in honor of this thread.

This morning I decided to try it as a hair tonic too. Wow, that menthol freeze your head off feel is great! Especially when it is 110*F.

I do not have any DG stores locally unfortunately, but I've been itching to try this since I fell in love with Proraso splash menthol goodness... what a bummer!
Several members have had luck finding PR in various other store. Check around the boards, and you may get lucky. You can also try Ebay or Amazon if all else fails.
I've looked around a lot of places locally that sell shave gear (probably every pharmacy known to man around here) and looked at amazon and ebay and everything is dry, unfortunately. There are DG stores in NJ though. Might have to make the trip some time.
The Pacific Rush sure lives up to it's name, that's for sure. I just handed off a bottle of this to a friend, and told him to becareful with it. He gave it a splash immediately and found it cooling through is half full beard. Can't wait till he tries it after a good shave

I had the same thing happen to me with Brisk. The Barbasol AS is something you want to pick up toward the end of your shopping trip, and you might actually have to put the bottle in your drink coaster to keep it upright until you get home.
That's actually exactly what I ended up doing. I wrapped the bag around it and set it upright in my cup holder. Luckily it was the only thiing I bought, so I didn't flood my loaf bread with Pacific Rush.

I personally didn't pick up much of a scent in Pacific Rush, but it does have the menthol blast.
Is there any way you can get Osage Rub in your area? I think some Walgreens have it. That will certainly give you a menthol blast, and it has a very mild scent that doesn't last long. You might already have Osage Rub.
I've contemplated osage rub as well, but have not found it locally either. I have been to many drug stores (walgreens, cvs, rite aid, duane reade) all over (can't pass one without stopping in to see the selection) and have not seen it. I might check out some beauty supply/barber supply stores when I get a chance. Maybe they have it.
Well, I just check Walgreens website for Osage and they don't carry, so they can't ship it to the store for you. Sorry if I misled.
Another might be Alcolado Glacial. There is a review here on it in the review section. Carribean type store might have it. I've seen it mentioned as made in Jamacia.
