MWF for the first time

I got some MWF for Christmas and tried it for the first time today.
it was fairly easy to lather which I was surprised with because of the amount of comments related to issues with building a lather. I followed Mantics tips I guess that helped.
It performed great! I am not thrilled with the scent, to me it smells like old man, but my fiancé likes it.
All in all i like it a lot!

I never could get MWF to lather properly for me. Glad you had a better outcome than I did.

I just started using it about a week or so ago as well. I was also surprised how easily it lathered, I haven't had a bad lather from it yet. I also like the way it smells. Just a nice mild clean smell not an overpowering clean/soap smell like Tabac.

MWF is on my short list of soaps I want to try out. Right now my brush keeps moving towards any one of Mike's Natural Soaps on a daily basis, and my face keeps thanking my brush.

MWF is vying for the title of my favorite among favorites. I'm also surprised that I am lathering so well given the comments of many about their difficulties.

I've been using it almost exclusively since it arrived.

While I really liked the scent, it turns out I have a sensitivity to lanolin. The Fat makes every shave I use it for feel like razor burn city. *sigh* I've already arranged to trade my puck away, and banned lanolin product from my shave den.

I love this soap, but I must say the first puck went really quick about 2 or 3 months. I'm sure the reason I burned through it is because I face lather and I used it a a stick and rubbed the puck on my face before I loaded the brush but that was too quick. That being said this is hands down the best soap I have used so far.

i am considering ordering a refill puck from overseas (i'm in the u.s.), if anyone wants to split it with me...message me for details.

I used it today for the first time. Good lather, great shave. My Fatboy seemed to drag along my face (the blade did just fine).

I'll try it again tomorrow.

When I tried MWF during the hot humid summer months in Ohio my skin felt too "waxy". But now that it is very cold outside it just feels very nice on my skin. I also like that it has a very light "clean" scent.

While I find the scents of MWF and even D.R. Harris to be stodgy--old school, "upper-crust" British--the performance is excellent. Mantic's tips (actually taken from Shaving 101) also work for me with MWF (if I load for 90 seconds or so, given my Muhle HJM black fibre brush and fairly hard water). Concerning longevity, I face lather and, even given that long loading time, I've hardly worn down the puck with considerable use. I anticipate 350+ shaves with MWF (as well as with D.R. Harris).
