MWF Dimensions

For those of you who use MWF, do you know the dimensions of the puck. I want to try it out but find it ridiculous to pay an extra 15-20 bucks for a bowl. Also, how does it lather? I have a cheap boar but am thinking about a Semogue so that I don't struggle trying to get a good lather out of it. Honestly, I will probably end up buying the brush either way but I am still in denial of the AD that I have been bit by.

It's around 3.25x1.5". If the puck doesn't fit into your existing bowl/holder, grate down the edges and put the shavings underneath the puck with a dribble of water to help it stick down. I generally grate all of my soaps anyways (except my sticks) as I find it helps loading immensely.

I always grate my soaps (except for the ones I buy with its own bowl), as not only they fit better, but they get "started" to say so, in other words they are dryer at the surface and is very hard to make the lather the first few times. But with grating method, is much more easy to start obtaining easy lather.

The hardness of the water in my area is making it impossible to lather MWF in a bowl, but a very small amount of shaving cream combined with MWF in a superlather makes you gain awesome benefits from both. Also the scent of MWF is almost made like it was designed to be used in a superlather. It is a somewhat mild, neutral scent, that is adding a bit of elegance and style to any scent out there that you combine it with in a superlather. I obtain fantastic results with Musgo Real shaving cream.
