Muhle DE razors - Where to Buy?

Apparently Muhle razors are not the most popular even though they are very good. I am finding few online suppliers of Muhle razors. Any suggestions?

Muhle razors used to be in the low $40s across all vendors. Within the last couple of weeks they've shot up to high-$50s/low-$60s. Scarcity or Euro?

I have wondered the same :/ I bought my R106 for $43 from WCS and now it is 60 dollars o.0 I wonder what prompted such a large price jump.

I order my stuff from the UK because they generally have more favorable shipping prices to HK. The last set of gear that I bought a month ago was pretty fair priced because of the more favorable cable of late. I paid 25 pound sterling and that was around $36 USD at the time. Both the Euro and the Pound have dropped against the dollar in the past few months. So I don't think currency fluctuation could explain the price differences because it has only gotten more favorable. I also got some good prices on the 3T's because of it (and I got the recently enlarged tub of TF too). Good time for me to have bought.

This is rather interesting. I checked Mühle's online shop and discovered that the price in Euros for R89 is still the 29.50€ I paid for it, but when I chose North America as my region, the price jumped up to $61.

Also, Euro has been losing value against the Dollar in recent times and one Euro is now about $1.26. That means us Europeans pay around $38 for the R89 - this is in fact the reason I chose it to be my first DE razor, it was cheaper than the Merkur HD.

I have no idea why there's such a jump in price for North America. But currency is definitely not the reason.

I saw that too.
Strange.

In Europe, at least where I live which is in the Netherlands, this is IMHO the biggest bang for your buck DE available.

www.shaving.ie has a fine service.

I also find the North American prices to be strange.
I was able to buy it on a local portuguese shop for €27,75 (about USD $36).
I don't have the faintest idea about why it is so overpriced in the USA.

A good alternative is Edwin Jagger DE89/DE89L. It shares the same head with Mühle R89, the only difference being the handle. EJ usually is slightly cheaper. In my opinion, Mühle R89 looks a little nicer. But, aesthetics aside, I believe they are the same razor.

I bought my R89 from Jarad at Superior shave as well - easy going, painless transaction and the razor is fantastic - The R89 is very forgiving and the finish is impeccable. Can't beat Superior Shave pricing either.
