More inspiration: It's not an Omega

The other new brush of this weekend was the long awaited 'Nomega'.

As we were lucky to get some original Omega boar from TGN, we decided to re-create the famous #49 in wood.

The black lacquering of this one gave Aart some serious headaches, but in the end it turned out perfectly fine.

At 27 mm, this one is the giant in my den.
It is really big, and from a test lather I figure it will take some time to break in.

Given the time and the cost involved, this must be our most uneconomical project up to now - but a hand turned and black lacquered Omega 49 homage; how cool is that?

Very cool. The 49 is one of my favorite brushes, which I alternate daily with the Omega 10005.
