Hey fellas, anybody tried these? I just acquired these two sets from an outfit in California, and frankly, I like them a lot. They have a very good quality soap base, good residual slickness and post shave feel, and the scents are nice, but not overpowering. Might not work for those who like a stronger scent, but for those of us who like a modest scent, these work pretty good. I'm glad to have these sets from Moon Soaps added to my arsenal.

It’s good soap. I have Havana, performs well with a mild tobacco fragrance.

I hear their Trade Winds scent is similar to Havana. I'd try it but I have too many soaps already. They did send me a sample though
I have several and while not all the scents agree with me the soap always does. And the scents I like, I like. Good stuff.
Never heard of them but I just ordered the Old School shave soap. Just what I needed, another tub of shaving soap.

That is correct sir. They render their own beef tallow exclusively for their tallow based soaps. And when you order shave soap from them, they send along a handwritten thank you note and various samples from their other shave soap scents. Nice touch
Trade Winds is identical to "The Essentialist" from Zingari, which is a identical to another soap from Cold River Soap Works

I haven't picked which one I want to order first, but wanted to mention Moon's shave soaps are 6 oz./170g, which is a rather good per unit value (all their current flavors are $23/jar).
And, I'm just on the site now, I see their banner at the top announces $3.99 flat rate shipping for all US orders. That'll help avoid feeding the SAD beast in we who tend to chase that minimum free ship order and order more than "we need
