I was planning to use my Timeless bronze and a Flydear(3) today, but I changed my mind and went with a new Flydear blade and the Yaqi TFC set to 5. I have an appointment at noon and figured today was not ideal for doing a blade longevity experiment.

Broke out a new alum block today from RazoRock. After over a year of daily use as an underarm deodorant and every 2+ days as a shave astringent, my old block was crumbling at the corners and ready for retirement.

Try to imagine an $8 speed stick of Old Spice deodorant lasting over a year!

• Soap: Daveli Farms Sheep Fat Green Tea scent
• Post shave: Thayer’s unscented Witch Hazel followed by Old Spice splash and Stirling Christmas Eve balm

Excellent shave with the Hawk and the guarded KAI Titan Pink. The razor provides a fairly forward feeling to the blade, but the built-in guard dampens the aggressiveness. To me, it's a good balance. I genuinely enjoyed the shave, which was to a BBS finish without irritation on virtually every part of my beard.

When the whiskers from last night’s shave grew back, many on the jawline curled back and threatened to grow inward. So I showered before shaving to reduce pressure needed to cut. And then didn’t load enough soap for my boar brush…. Shave went well, but slightly slower, and I probably didn’t change what awaits me tomorrow night. Luckily, I have an AP ShaveCo Dinosaur brush with a G5C knot for my Prince Spaghetti Day shave.

Razor and blade. Second run with the Minora. Good blade although I had the impression that the pairing with the Blackbird made it feel a little harsher. Still comfortable but not smooth.

This was the absolute best shave of my last 6 shaves, there was and is a reason I had narrowed my razors down to one, for me it is the best razor made. It is nice to have variety sometimes, but when I come back to my Wolfman I am home.

For the next couple of shaves I am going to use the same soap with my other razors.


People were saying that Wolfman‘s are so expensive in US dollars my complete razor currently costs
$445.00.
