Today as I was getting ready for my shave I thought I would try something different (I seem to have settled onto a few different shave sticks) so I went digging around my soap collection.
I found a couple of pucks, one called sleigh ride, and one called tangerine, grapefruit and amyris. There was no real identifying marks on the pucks and just an email address.
This brings up two issues:
1: Where did this soap come from?

2: Is my SAD really so bad that I cant even remember purchasing soaps now?
So, seeing as how summer is well and truly on its way out at my neck of the woods I thought I would give sleigh ride a try. Today I was shaving with a Fatip Grande loaded with a feather that is on its last shave. I prepped with vitos pre shave (standard for me) and I would finish with proraso splash.
I soaked my brush as usual, and put a couple of drops of water on the puck and let it do its thing for a few minutes. I started whipping my brush around the puck and BOOM! It felt like xzibit got me lather on lather cos he heard I like lather. It exploded out of the container I keep the puck in. So I transferred over to a bowl and whipped the brush around some more. It looked like there was a marshmallow slaughter in my bathroom. Lather was exploding out of this product!
Now that the final scene from ghost busters was over and done with I painted some lather on my face, and it held very stable. Now I am a very lackadaisical shaver, but i needed to be careful, this stuff is slick! After a very quick first pass I soon realised I was done! Once I had rinsed any remnants off I noticed my face was as smooth as if I had done a 3 pass!!!! What is this magic?!?!?!
Splashing some cold water on my face I realised this was one of the best shaves I have ever had! With an almost disposed blade and soap I didnt even realise I had! I applied the proraso and immediately hit the net to see if I could find where this stuff came from. I search the tangerine, grapefruit and amyris and found MJ's soap shop. I then kinda remebered ordering in some sort of cella fueled frenzy of acquisition.
So in short, if you want to try a great (and very affordable, apparently the pucks are only $5) then give this a go. Sorry I didnt take any lather pics, I just wasnt really expecting to need a camera. I will take some next time I shave with this and post some here.
