I had the good fortune to stumble across MiN on Crosby Street in NYC the other day. It's a relatively new men's grooming establishment, with a really nice range of shaving supplies in stock. (They also carry a lot of non-shaving grooming stuff, like hair and skin care lines).
In addition to having a really lovely store, I had a nice chat with the owner (whose name, alas, I can't remember - I believe it's either Chad or Craig; I should write this stuff down). We talked about shaving for a while, and before I left he had hooked me up with four different Trumpers SC samples (Sandalwood, Rose, Violet, Almond). The store carries a real range of high-end shaving brands (Trumpers, TOBS, D.R. Hill, etc.), and it was nice to be able to see/smell/touch some of the products (as opposed to just reading about them on-line). They also carry Merkur razors and brushes. The only thing they don't seem to carry a lot of is blades - I think they only have Merkur brand blades in stock.
In any case, if you are in NYC and looking for a place to check out shaving gear, I would recommend a trip down to MiN. They also have a website (www.minnewyork.com)
