Military Athlete

Anyone else follow Coach Shaul's program? What's been your experience with the "burden of constant fitness". I really like this program a lot better than crossfit. IMHO crossfit seems to be catering to the extreme athletes and is extremely spradic. I like Rob's approach to methodized work capacity.
 
I haven't seen it, but I've found that crossfit results are very dependent on your coaching. Both my friend and I got great results with my old gym back east, the programming was a good mix of strength, conditioning, and skill work with the right amount of volume for me. When I moved out west I tried a new box that ended up being tilted towards either Crossfit games-level athletes or people needing to lose a ton of weight. It was way too much volume and conditioning and not enough strength work, and I burned out quickly. It's all about the coaching and the programming.
