Mikes soaps lasting?

I'm just conferring here its a great soap but what do you think about number of shaves in a tin? I say that because mine seems deeply dented for used pretty exclusively for couple months.

Tough to say. Way too many variables to even make a suggestion. I have 2 tins I use pretty exclusively, but I've never kept track of how many shaves I get from them. Just some of the variables I can think of off the top of my head:

1. What type of brush is used
2. How long the brush is loaded
3. Small differences with the consistency of the soap when made ( Don't know this to be true, just offering it up as a possibility )

if you have been using it exclusively for a couple months and you only have a "deeply dented" tin, I'd say it's lasting fairly well.

just out of curiosity, how long do you expect a tin of soap like this to last? for me, 2 months would be tops but it would likely last less with daily 3 pass shaves.

Mine seems to last just the right amount of time. I have several soaps in my rotation so it's hard to keep track, really.

It's funny, I want mine to last forever just as much as I want it to be used, solely so I can buy more and try the other scents. Realistically, I have shaved with my latest tin only 15 times or so and it seems nearly untouched. I'd say maybe 75+ shaves for a tin with three passes each time and a lather on the face which won't be used as it dissipates with the hot towel on my face for pre-shave prep.

if you don't already, try leaving a layer on AFTER your last pass while you clean up your razor and brush. then do you rinse and post shave routine (WH, AS or whatever).

Interesting. Are we giving the lanolin more time to work?

My Mike's seems long-lasting, and that is interesting as I consider it a soft soap.

I do it with all my soaps and creams, which are all high quality like Mikes, and it seems to leave my face feeling extra soft and moisturized..
