Midnight in Paris Smells Exactly Like.

Bvlgari Black. I blind bought MiP based on Schad's complimentary review as I tend to like the same frags. While MiP is a nice fragrance, I cannot pick the difference between it and BB, which I already own.

Anyone else get this?

While I personally can pick up on the differences between these two, I can totally see how some might not. MIP has really prominent tonka, leather and incense notes. I get endless compliments with MIP. I have both and will always go for MIP over BB. BB is actually sitting in my to be sold/traded drawer. Nothing wrong with it really. If I had never picked up MIP it would be getting used often. I just dont see a need in having both. Plus BB longevity and siliage, as with most Bvlgari fragrances, is weak.

I prefer Bvlgari Black to MiP personally.

Both smell nice, but Bvlgari Black is more masculine to me especially in the top notes (the first ones you perceive).

Someone said to me, while I was wearing MiP : "Gosh, you smell like baby powder!", which can, in my opinion, be true for someone smelling the frag while not being close to your skin.

I can definitely agree that BB is more masculine. While I dont see MIP as being extremely feminine, I can see why some guys might be more drawn to BB for its more masculine smell. Im gonna have to pull out my BB when I get home and give it a run for old time sake.

Despite what others have said I couldn't get the leather in MiP, just rubber and vanilla. Longevity was about the same as I get with BB. Classic YMMV I guess.

I certainly agree about the bottle though, much nicer than BB!
