Metal smell

I recently got a Speedway Razor of off the bay and have used it twice. When I got it I gave it a rub down with alcohol to sanitize it, however the razor seems to have a metallic smell to it. Any ideas as to what this is and how to get rid of it? Thanks folks!

Yep, smells kind of like coins I would say.

Baking soda bath? It is made of metal you know it may fade with use.

Oh, thats the brass, my Sheraton had that smell for few weeks....i just used hot water, and Dawn liquid.

Haha I realize the razor is made of metal! However my other two razors (tech and black tip) do not have the odor. I will try to give it a soak and see how that helps. Thanks guys....for not making fun of me too much!

And no..not a vampire. A wizard maybe...
