Metal Mess Hall Trays

I was watching an old Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and there was a place on there serving SOS (Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast) on a metal mess hall tray, as they used to use (and may still do) in the military. I really liked the look of those trays, with the divided sections. Anyone have/use those? I been thinking about trying to find a couple of those to eat my meals from. The wifely unit just rolls her eyes, but wouldn't have a problem if I started using them. I tried my local Army/Navy surplus store, but no luck. Anyone have a source? Amazon has some metal divided trays, but they look pretty flimsy and I would really like to find authentic mess hall trays. All of the ones I find on ebay have shipping cost equal to or more than the tray itself. I only want one or two, and really don't want to pay a bunch of shipping costs. That may not be possible and I might just have to bite the bullet on shipping.

I was never in the military, so I have no experience eating on these. Maybe that's why they interest me.

Thanks. Most of these have pretty high shipping costs for an order of one. I will go through the entire list and see if I can find any with reasonable shipping. I appreciate the link.

That was just the first one I came across Larry. I just googled "Mess Hall Tray". I'm sure you can find a lot more.

Good grief. Does it come with a cigar smoking Rizzo from Mash to ladle the slop onto the tray?

I like the scene in Nacho Libre where he flings the slop and misses the bowls as he's making eyes at the chick (a nun I think).

Call some Military Surplus stores. I know I've seen them there.
