WHat would you go for and why?

Im leaning xl??

I've a regular Mergres. It's very well balanced and very heavy. I can't imagine going with a longer knob. I can't say enough good things about my regular Mer stainless mod.

Mer isn't the only guy doing these knobs, you may also want to look at pureslab's offerings, he seems to have a selection of different kinds of knobs. Mer does too by the way. Here's a link to pureslab's:

Eric/Mer reuses the stock Merkur knob assembly and I'm the inventor of the 1 piece replacement knob.
Eric and I both offer various options.

I have both and prefer the longer handle. The greater weight in the handle reduced the pressure of the razor head against the face.

Now that's something I didn't know. It looks like people now have three choices of where to go for this modification. And it looks like Bob offers beautiful wood knobs as well.

I had an XL but sold it as I thought it was too heavy. I now have the regular size and I like it much better. Depends on your personal preference.
