Masters Blue After Shave

Greetings Gents!

Yesterday I finally tried a bottle of Master Brand Blue A.S. that I have had for a few weeks. I figured it was similar to A.V., so I was in no hurry to try it. Man, talk about a menthol burst. It was great! And IMHO it smells better than A.V. A tad more on the spicy side I would say. The staying power was good too, as I was still smelling it this morning. For around 4 bucks for a large bottle of this stuff, you can't go wrong.

This product is technically called Master Ocean Blue. I bought a bottle of it off of the B/S/T (along with some Master Iceland Breeze).

I personally found it to be a very poor clone of Aqua Velva. It seemed not as complex of a scent, and "flat". I used it, once or twice, and got rid of it. I would rather have the real thing, which doesn't cost very much anyway.

For anyone curious, the Iceland Breeze (green colored, there is also a blue) was a rather unique fern like smell. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't fall in love with it. The scent was borderline pleasant, while at the same time being borderline repulsive.:lol:

I have seen bottles labelled both ways master blue and ocean blue.i'm not a big AV user but this stuff seemed to be a pretty close (90%)clone of it.just a lot stronger and could be smelled 10-12 hours later. It was strong enough that i was tired of wearing it after 2 uses.
That said I mix it with the dollar tree Artic Blue, witch hazel and glycerin for a custom a/s.
master blue 30%
witch hazel 20%
artic blue 50%
glycerin to your moisturizing needs.
When the hazel is added the mix will turn cloudy. But don't worry in a few days the cloudiness will disappear.
