I'm not sure what 8 rashers of bacon is, but it doesn't sound like enough to me.

Yeah, I think the chocolate:bacon ratio isn't quite right. Perhaps it's a typo, and she meant 80 rashers?

Most of the former British colonies serve the "rasher" style bacon AFAIK. Maybe not Canada, but I know they do in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK (of course)!
Well, technically, America is a former British colony, but I've never seen bacon like that.
