Macy's Sells Straights?

Wow that's interesting...considering I looked through an old Sears Roebucks catalogue...that Macy's price isn't cheap..is it shave ready?

I doubt Macy's have someone with a hone on staff, it would be the factory edge. It might be OK, but I would get someone to look it over before use if I was new.

These days, you never know who sells what. that could very well just be something they get a cut of, and from a shipper who slaps a macy's label on a box.

It's like looking for something at wal mart of sears, both of those probably "carry straight razors", too, but their product listings are a little bit more straightforward about what's carried by them and what's just sold by a third party on their site.

I hear the new production Henckels are not good, steel too soft and not taking good edge.

Yeah... I figure if there were awesome current production Henckels razors floating around we would all know about it. I would like to hear from someone who owns one though.

I honed what looked to be a fairly new Henkels for a member here. The blade had a slight warp, and I had to bust out a narrow hone and do a rolling stroke to get it shave ready.

I know someone that hones professionally had some real head aches with one of those, the steel was pretty soft and took edge very reluctantly.

Barbers cut Thuri with a rubbing stone for $1.39

I'm gonna get back to that time machine I was building.

Stim U Vac.... "Also works with the pressure of vacuum cleaner". Men were seriously strapping a vacuum cleaner to their heads to try and regrow hair. How have we escaped nuclear annihilation for this long?
