1. Boil water

2. Put razors to be restored in a jar with a little detergent.. And pour boiled water in jar.. Do NOT boil razors in pot as that can deform the metal sometimes

3. After water cools down to room temp pour water and razors out in sink scrub them with an old toothbrush... After that spray scrubbing bubbles on it and leave for a couple of minutes

4. Scrub down razors with a toothbrush, rinse and dry razors... Next is polish... If it's gold I use blue magic (says can use on gold) if not I use maas (May damage gold plate)... Spread all around the razor and leave on if your using blue magic ... Next I scrub the polish on with a toothbrush then buff and buff and buff with a microfiber towel..

Here are the three razors... Guess which one was the one I restored first.. That's right it's the one with the bronzed handle as I used a dremel to polish it... It polished but took all the gold with it!

Very informative, thanks for posting that! Lots of cleaning/restoring threads for nickle-plated razors, but not many for gold.

Oh, and now I really want a Sheraton
