Looking to try some new soaps...

The soaps I have tried so far in 1.5 yrs of wetshaving: VDH, williams, conk almond, conk bay rum, and conk glycerin. After getting KMF cream and proraso, I have been using creams exclusively for a couple months...

I would like some suggestions on other quality soaps. Thank you to LarryAndro for PIFing me a sample of mitchell's wool fat, which is on its way. I was wondering what other samples I should buy, so far the next soap on my list is Tabac. Also considering Mamabear Awakenings...

Try Talor of Old Bond Street or DR Harris. I use both brands and love them. They are triple milled and will last a long time.

I'm a newb to DE shaving and I've been using Ogallala soaps. They produce a great lather and very quickly. Very affordable at under $5 a puck. I'm also looking forward to giving Mitchell's Wool Fat soap a try at some point.

You need to try Cella and ARKO.....these are latherin' machines! If your DE technique is up to par you should have very enjoyable, irritation free shaves.

I would try the usual suspects from Germany, France and England first. Tabac, Speick (I think it's better than tabac, because of the scent and I get better shaves with it), PdP, IK, Provence Sante, MWF, DR Harris, etc...

I've tried Ogallala last weeke and it didn't work well for me.

there are many great soaps. a few i'd recommend are tabac, cella and cade. one german, one italian and one french.

After posting a similar question I was recommended AOS and MWF. I went with the AOS Sandalwood and have not been disappointed. I haven't used many creams since getting the AOS.

These aren't normally on my list of soaps to try, but you seem to have stuck with less expensive soaps, and those are two that are cheaper than Tabac yet scored well in the "Mass" shaving soap comparison, for what it's worth.

You must try Institut du Karité shaving soap, with 25% shea butter.
MWF, L'Occitane CADE and Tabac are also good options.

I quite like conk amber. I've got some lime too, but I'm kinda so so on that.

If you are looking to also look for some new creams, I found Talor of old bond street's avacado to be fanstastic. It has a heady but muted scent and I think the inclusion of the avacado oils really help with the shave. Too bad the TSA now has the last 1/4 of my tub in Detriot

Let's not forget Mama Bear soaps. The problem there is which one to try. Here's the answer...Get a sample pack from them. They are great folks to deal with too.
