and some recommendations. Just ordered my first straight today. And looks like I need some other items to go with it. Mainly the two listed above, which online dealer is best to deal with pricewise. And are any of the e-bay hones i.e. zeep-k serviceable or best left alone. I do realize you get what you pay for, just wondering if anyone had any luck with them. Brand new to this so all info definitely will be appreciated.

you don't need a hone, get it honed by somebody with experience.

Ehh I recommend you look into the 827 as a high price. A 20 dollar strop from Ken Rup is a great starter though, why not get that one?
Absolutely Ken's Filly Strop is great! Unfortunately I put a nice, big nick in mine!
