Looking for a travel brush that's not a "travel brush"

Guys,
I'm looking for a travel brush that's not an actuall "travel brush"
I'll find or make a hard container for it.
I guess what i'm looking for is a small brush.
Silvertip or better.

What do y'all use?

I use to travel with my Edwin Jagger BBB. Now I use a Wee Scot. The Simpson's Case is a good one as well.

I was looking at the Wee Scott.
Is it as good as everyone says?
I have no experience with Simpsons brushes.

For me it has been a fantastic brush, the amount of lather that little brush can make is astounding.

Here is a size comparison photo, my old travel brush is the second from the left:

Simpson Tulip 2, Edwin Jagger Best Badger Brush Medium, Kent BLK4, Savile Row 3824, Rooney Finest style 1 size 2, Simpson PJ3 handle with custom DO1 knot, Simpson Wee Scot, EJ DE89L for scale.

 Your collection??
very nice indeed.
thanks for the pic. Most appreciated.

Yes, those are a few of my brushes. My favorite all around brush is the Savile Row, followed by the Rooney, there is just something about the Rooney Finest hair that the others can't match.

The Wee Scot is excellent and Simpsons best is (in my opinion) better than Rooney Super. I honestly can't say I prefer my Duke to my Wee Scot, they are both excellent brushes for the money.

I haven't tried the Case, but I have been thinking about getting one.

The Wee is an amazing brush....I use mine for much more than travel. Pretty much anytime a shave stick makes the rotation the Wee follows right along. A very capable brush.

I don't see why a Rooney 1/1 with a Muhle Travel case (WCS has them for $5) wouldn't be a solid option... The case is fantastic and can even accomodate my 26mm Shavemac.

Thanks for all the great advice.
As it happens, I was at the Dollarama at lunch and found 2 containers that look like they'll hold my brush (Rooney 3/2)
I'll post pics if successful. if not, i'll hang my head in shame.

I'd still like a brush exclusively for travel. I mean everyone needs more brushes right? One for every day that ends in "y"?

I have the Wee Scot and the Case Best Badger. The Wee is an amazing little brush. The Case is a bit larger and more comfortable in the hand than the Wee and it is also an awesome little brush. I have not traveled with the Case yet, which has a travel tube made just for the Case that I got from shoebox shaveshop (best price I found). However, I plan to use the Case as my primary travel brush with the Wee as well on longer trips.

I like the Omega 10066 (boar) for travel. It works well, and it's cheap enough that I won't shed tears if I lose it.

For travel I use the one on the right carried in an empty Rx bottle that has been drilled at both ends for ventilation. It is a fairly inexpensive 1999 ShaveCenter 19mm Pure Badger that won't pain me if lost. Why not the boar brush? I bought that on something of a lark and am still evaluating it.

I would strongly consider the Simpson's Case. I got one with the intention of using it for a travel razor. But it almost instantly became my daily user. And don't let the Best badger grade lead you into thinking that the tips aren't soft. They are as soft, if not softer, than my Vulfix Super Badger. The Case is an excellent little brush.

I'm a big fan of the Simpson Special. Despite being graded as "best", thus far it has softer tips that my TGN two-band finest (though admittedly it does take a while to break those in). Fits perfectly in a modified case I made out of the container in which Rudy Vey sends out his brushes

The old Tweezerman collecting dust in the cabinet got upgraded to 'travel brush' recently. It still works great, packs in tight spaces, and I wouldn't be upset to lose or forget it somewhere.
