Shave brush holder recomendations?

Hello everyone,

I’d like to gather some recommendations for an affordable shave brush holder. My brushes range from 22-29 mm.

I’m looking for something practical, and not fancy, and the more compact the better, although that’s not a necessity.

Also if anyone has any ideas for a homemade DIY holder that would be interesting to see…

Yes, there are quite a few companies that offer brush stands like this. It could be they are all made in the same place, I don't know.

All my brushes come with built in stands.

The stands are practical, not fancy and compact.
I guess this begs the question, is it a myth that not hanging the brushes will damage them (the knot) over time?
I've never done this until now, reason being as I'm now expecting my first "luxury" brush...

Yes. It's a myth.

If there is a difference it is minimal and won't make a bit of difference for the amount of water left in a shaving brush after ringing, flicking, towel lathering

My $10 brushes and $300 brushes all get handled the same and they are all perfect after 10+y of use.

To be honest, I'd be more worried about the stand falling or the brush falling out.

Some say an angled brush stand is best, for water evaporation, but again, it's so small it doesn't make a difference if you do proper post shave care for your brush.

Ask yourself, what would Grandpa do (or have done). He'd have used the base of the brush. Don't and done.

A total and complete myth. There is only one true reason to use a brush stand - you like the way it looks. It does nothing for the drying time or the health of the brush.

What he said: best stand is the one built into the brush!!
Due to space issues in our bathroom, I use stands, glued to the side of a cabinet, but I never like these holders. Eventually I will build a small shelf to set them on the natural stand.

This meets none of your criteria for practical, not fancy, and compact. But if you ever come across an old rubber stamp carousel holder, you might agree it is perfect for brush holding.

I had some spare LEGOs hanging around. I use the Batman placard as a blade-use counter. If I have two blades going, I use the piece on top with the cross in addition to the round one being used currently.
