Here's the flip side of this recent thread.
One of the things I like about writing cursive is the feel of it. There is this sense of grace and elegance which unfortunately can dissipate when I actually look down at what I've written. Still, whether I'm laboriously lettering someone's birthday card, or making jottings in my pocket notebook during a meeting, there are some letters that seem to give more scope for expression than others. Does anyone else feel this way?
Do others have favorite letters in cursive, and what are they? It would be interesting to see which ones appear on both the like and dislike threads.
My own list. Capitals L and Q. They naturally lend themselves to being written with a flourish. Capitals T and F, same thing. Capital and lower case Z. The capital is one of the more interesting forms, and writing the lower case one properly to distinguish it from a y is a small accomplishment.
And...well, in line with the point about the feeling of writing cursive, I could list the rest of the alphabet, but let's stop there. How about everyone else?
