Hi, brand new member, fell down the rabbit hole this morning looking at safety razors and watching Greg Tardif videos. I’m active in knife collecting on BF but this is a new area for me. I’ve already got a Yates Merica in route. Can’t wait to be done with disposable razors.

Oh, trust me: it will rage like a fire in a forest that hasn't seen a drop of rain in 5 months.
I came here because I was sick of ridiculous prices for crummy plastic cartridge razors.
So now I have 11 safety razors, over 500 blades, 15 shave soaps, 5 shave creams and three brushes.
Some savings.

Don't take it seriously, I have more than one razor. I have two, maybe eight or nine.

Yea, first hasn't arrived yet and I’m already looking at a Merkur 38C, a Hensen, and some fat boys/Slims on marketplace. I’ll try to just window shop till I’ve got a month done with the Yates.

Starting out I would use one razor for a few months. You should give yourself sometime to get your technique down. Switching between razors could cause mishaps and you won't know if its your technique or the razors idiosyncrasies There will be plenty of time to nurture an razor acquisition disorder (RAD).
