Lather after a shave - anyone else do this?

The tight wad in me that doesn't like to waste anything has started dictating some of my post shave routine. After I finish w/ my last pass I rinse w/ hot water one last time. After that I take whatever lather I have left and put it on my face. I leave it there while I clean up. After that I rinse it off w/ hot water, cool water and then cold water. I dry and apply my balm. I don't know if it's doing anything, but it feels good. Anyone else do this?

Even if it accomplishes nothing, it feels good to you, and that should be all that really matters.

I do this also sometimes, the lather makes my skin really soft and flexible and clean at the same time. Besides that, I don't wont to waste all that good lather that is left after the shave.

Guilty! I think i started because I'm new to the game, I still love swooshing the lather all over my face with my brush because I like the feeling. Even if it doesn't have any redeeming qualities, I'm still gonna do it

All the time. But my routine is as follows:

Then my face air-dries and I apply an alcohol based aftershave.

I wash my face with it, clean the bathroom, hardware, etc. then cold water rinse and good to go.
