I'm guessing this bowl is from the '40s. The soap inside looks a little bit funky but smells fine. I think all it needs is some water & a good brush. :001_cool:

Congrats, I was bidding on this as well. I bowed out, as I've spent a little too much on shaving goods this past couple of months. I suspect that this Hershey's is the rarest of the rare in vintage soaps, please give us some photos and description of the lather and performance of this soap.

Hersheys and Kanon seem to be the rarest of the vintage soaps (I think Evbo and bythbook have them all).
 
There was another thread where someone had got hold of some Hershey's soap about a year ago. I don't have a link but the thread shared some of the history of why this soap came into being in the first place.

I'd add Houbigant Fougere Royale to that list as well. :blush: All 3 are excellent soaps.

Trolling ebay has its advantages!!
