latest aquisitions! need some help i.d.ing...

Well we went to an antique shop this weekend and asked about razors..the guy had 3 safety razors in a tin can...i was quite surprised! first off the are all gillette's....here is a pic of them:

so here is the time...the first on the left has "gillette" writtin on the top part..no i.d. number markings....

the second doesn't have a code but has "!932" stamped on the bottom..i tried it tonight and shaved very nicely and smoothly (i was even using a used wilki blade) i find it also has a nice weight to it...

the third one is from the 70's and it's "the knack" model..it seems kinda funky actually but the handle is plastic and is a little light but the rest of it has good weight...

is there a good way of cleaning these guys? do i need to sterelize them?

here are some more pics:

First looks like an aluminum handled tech. No writing at all? Should be something indicating country it was manufactured in. A lot of those were made in England. Second one is a Canadian fat handled tech.

Hey guyys, no there was no writting at all...kinda strange...the second one that has 1932 on it has "made in canada" stamped...
on the first one,..any rough idea on year wise? on the first two you untwist the handle and the top part separates to put in the blade...
thanks

The aluminum handle tech is a great shaver. I have the English version and it's one of my favorites. If you unscrew the handle, and remove the top plate there should be a "Made in" stamp on top of the bottom plate. You can't see it when the razor is assembled. Also, the date code should be stamped on the the underside of the bottom plate as well. Will be a letter and a number.

BMC...welcome fellow canuk!
so i looked again on the one that dosn't have a code on it....as i mentioned the only thing it has is "gillette" stamped on the top of the head, but, i unscrew it and took off the blade, and right underneith where the blade would sit was stamped "made in england".....not sure if this means anything...thanks

That's what mine has too. If you flip it over, on either side of the hole where the top post goes through that bottom plate, there should be a letter and a number. Mine is a N4 I believe which makes it 4th quarter of 1968.

BMC...ya i was looking in the forums...and someone else has the exact same one and stated that if it was made in england, they didn't come with the id codes and makes it hard to trace it back...thanks again though..

btw, it really shaves nicely...more of a softer shave and not that aggressive..
