Kreigars are decorative. They are not functional from the reports I've seen (Steel isn't good enough to take an edge you'd want to shave with).

I've read that they're not actually german steel as such, but cheap steel from pakistan. I've also read on this board that they don't really hold an edge.
I know this because I too, almost bought one. They do look good, though.

There is also i web site that dells these in the uk, and i too have looked into buying one, but from the learned posts on here, have always shyed away.
