Knee Pads for work

Looking for suggestions for soft knee pads that I would wear under my scrubs at work. Need them due to the bending down and taking a knee on concrete floors to perform animal heath checks in a vivarium.

I was looking at some sport related soft knee pads.

Also, I would like pads that are washable as in throw them in the washing machine.

Thanks,

What about knee pads for construction use? They are usually soft gel, but I bet they aren't washable. You could find them at Home Depot

I've seen a lot of guys beg for a custom title in my day, but............

I was going to suggest something athletic also. Maybe some used in wrestling.
I've seen very slim ones that should go well under scrubs.

5.11 makes soft neoprene pads designed to fit inside pockets sewn into duty style pants. These are great for minor kneeling throughout the day.

Just pick up some Asic Volleyball knee pads at the Sports Authority store.

Tried them on and they feel comfortable.

I'll know more on how good they are after a full work day.

Thanks for the suggestions.

No recommendation on brand, but one thing to watch for is the contact on the back of the knee.
I found regular "schoolkid" football kneepads were fine for PE and short-duration wear, but for wearing OTJ, the elastic would cause severe irritation to the backs of my knees.
It was bad whether wearing jeans, or wearing the pads alone with shorts.

I don't know if they are available or not, but try to find something that leaves the entire "hinged" area of your leg open.

My recommendation would be for paintball knee pads. There is a HUGE variety of styles, with various types, and amounts, of padding.
If the volleyball knee pads aren't working for you, or are too bulky, here are some brands I would recommend:
Dye
Empire
Planet Eclipse
JT

I'll second that one. any kind of elasticized one piece pad used to drive me crazy after more that an hour. that said, I used to wear them over my pants. regardless, any kind of one piece is going to cause bunching, and associated pinching, chaffing, hair pulling/rubbing if you have hair, etc. they annoyed the hell out of me. I've also used a pad that used two straps to secure them and they were better. the best was a neoprene sleeve with velcro to tension them in place.

about the best advice I could give is to sew in pockets to place a pad into on the knees of your scrubs. but that also can be annoying while walking around, and doesn't assure you that it'll be under your knee when you go to plant in on the ground.
