KMF in pump bottle different than tube?

I got some KMF in a pump bottle because I got a good deal on it locally. I have tried it a few times and am having a hard time getting it to produce a good lather. It comes out OK, but it is nothing compared to what others on the forum say they are getting. Am I doing something wrong or is it different than what's in the tube. It seems awfully thin and runny compared to every other shave cream I've tried.

Just an idea, but have you tried mixing/shaking/stirring it?

I only have the pump bottles (mint and lavender). They are fairly thin and runny, but getting a good lather simply means adjusting the water:cream mix. I squeeze all the water out of the brush, and add very little, if any, while lathering.

It's a good travel cream: you can easily transfer a few pumps into an empty sample-sized bottle. I rarely use it when I am at home, though.

Yeah it's runnier than my other creams by far; but the impression I got was that it differed from the squeeze tube to the pump bottle. It's a natural product (though the extent to which this is true is argued) so some variance can be expected.

Thanks, guys. I'll give that a shot. I'm building a quite respectable den, so I have many others to choose from if I can't get that to my liking.

I have not tried the tube but I have a pump bottle. I tired to lather the same way I would with soap and it was way too much water. Like Mblakele, I squeeze almost all the water out of the brush and it works great.

AFAIK, KMF is the same in both bottle and tube. I find the consistancy of its lather to be different from what I get from a more traditional cream. Be careful when adding water. You can get its lather to lose its slickness before it gets to a runny state.

My 2c worth...

KMF is an excellent cream as either brushless or whipped up with brush. It can be a little on the runny side and the optimum amount of water to be added is quite small. I have found that the pump bottles can need a shake if they have sat around for a long time.
