Kind of Vinegar?

Don't wish to put too fine a point on it, but one place (Em's I think) speaks of using cider vinegar for brush cleaning and a recent thread speaks to distilled white vinegar. Does it make a difference? Cleaned my CE BBB yesterday using cider vinegar (it was all I had on hand). Only comment so far was it had a monumental bloom this morning and almost no backbone. Will see what happens tomorrow.

It doesn't matter. As longer as it's vinegar of some sort, it'll clean your brushes just fine.

I've used both and they both worked just fine. Distilled is cheaper.

I would just avoid balsalmic vinegar and other dark vinegar varieties. Personally, I just use generic white/clear vinegar.

+1. Otherwise you might be spreading the lather with a purple brush.

Yeah, the cheap white stuff is the best bang for the buck.
