So my story was this. I had a BK4 brush that I really liked, but after using it for a few months I noted the brush started shedding hairs. At first I was not concerned, since this seems common for all brushes.
Well after a few months of a lost hair or two every one to two shaves, it started to get worse. At least one hair lost per shave, sometimes two or three. It got to the point that I worried soaking the brush in warm water was just too harsh (even though I do this with all brushes, just tap warm, no heating element stuff). I tried not soaking the brush prior to shaving (leaving the bristles a little scratchy during the shave. This did nothing, as the hairs kept falling out. I eventually got frustrated with all this and stopped using it.
Then came the Kent LE 2008 brush for B&B. This brush is a madman and took over my interest. Well for varieties sake months later I started switching up my brushes in a rotation again. Well I hit the BK4 and guess what? TONS OF SHEDDING!! The first shave was 2 hairs, second was 2 or 3, third shave was maybe 4 hairs. I think by the end of the week there were FIVE to SIX hairs falling out during my shave. Some in the sink, others on my face...bad news.
I emailed Kent with my problem and they told me to mail them the brush. A couple weeks later guess what shows up in the mail:
They sent me a brand spanking new one in the case with tissue and a complimentary Kent brush stand. Amazing people they are! I love a company that stands by their products like this. Kent is a stand-up company and I am really appreciated with this customer service. Now my LE 2008 brush will not need to be alone. This curvaceous lady gets to keep him company!
In my thanks to Kent I am PIF'ing my old BK4 tube to someone in need.
