What's new

just won these SEs

Well the price was certainly right. If the heads aren't scratched then you got a really good deal.

Any dirt on the case will clean off nicely using a finger dipped in dishwashing detergent. I wouldn't use an old toothbrush on it for fear of either scratching the case or taking off the gold lettering.

Nice price, but those are effectively the same shaver. Nice 2-day set in any case. Just wish I could find 1 for that price here in the states.

wow, great find!!!
I'm also waiting for an ever-ready 1912 to arrive.... waiting to see what the deal with SEs is all about! enjoy!

Very nice! Now you have a primary and a backup, or something to wrangle a trade with somebody for a different SE model.

Listen to this eccentric fella from Indiana. (It is important to note that Indianianans are really more clever than than the average prairie person!).

Trading and wrangling is the beginning of a wonderful adventure in wetshaving!!!!

You have perhaps the best easily available vintage shaver the world has to offer!! The 1912 simply beats hands down any DE razor you are going to compare it to! (YMMV of course, but SE razors rule!!!)

enjoy!!

I wonder if you will see any difference in quality between the two? Manufactured in different plants on different continents. Was the quality control good enough to keep them identical? Both should be great shavers. The 1912 is the most natural and comfortable shaver I've ever used.
