Junk Store Find(need help)

Well I scored these 5 razors and blades the other day, $20 for the lot. A little elbow grease and they all cleaned up nice. SWMBO didn't even yell since there was a stars and the knack. I am confused on what the one in the middle is though. Any help would be appreciated. Enjoy the pics!

TIA,
Jay

Looks like a 1941 Ranger Tech.
The papa of the 40's Superspeed.
But I am puzzled by the "Boston" on the band. Mine has "Pat Nos on Pkg"
Great score! Congrats

EDIT: As so clearly pointed out by Radar O\'Reilly - That DOESN'T say boston, It says NOS ON - as in "PAT. NOS. ON PKG.".

Thanks Guys!! I thought maybe 40's super speed but glad its a not! I am glad I rescued these!! The lady I bought them from didn't have them on display, when I asked what she would have done with them she told me she makes grab bag Jars with trinkets in them and sells them for $10 random! They most certainly would have been junked by someone who bought the jar as being old crap. Now another question... I unwrapped one of those blades(no rust, still in wax paper with oil!!), my tetanus is up to date... Any reason not to recristen that Ranger Tech with one of these?? Sorta seems fitting.

Thanks again for all the help!

I wouldn't use the old blades myself. They've no doubt lost their edge by now. But as they are the older blades, and if you have one of the vintage Kriss Kross or Twinplex sharpeners, you might can sharpen them. Older blades were thicker and work with those old sharpeners. New modern blades won't sharpen at all in the old sharpeners. At least none I've tried, including Derby, Astra, Shark and IPs. They will work on modern single edge blades though.

Isn't it also a function of the different steels? Older blades were carbon steel, which can easily take an edge vs. stainless steel which has more of a problem. I think of it like what happens to people like me who make elongated pennies. The older pennies were solid copper. Newer pennies are a copper-zinc sandwich. The zinc ones are softer, so sometimes a machine isn't calibrated for copper pennies, so they come out different. Or they can have too much pressure, and a zinc penny has a long tail.

I noticed that a Milord looks just like a Ranger Tech..just gold are they the same razor or do they shave totally different?
