For all fans of the Omega Premium Jade Boar, and now the beautiful Ivory version!

Post here when you use this fantastic brush this July. Use yours all month long if you love it that much, but of course you don't have to. I'll probably be alternating between the Jade and the Ivory.

Kicking things off!

Forgot to soak the Jade before I started the shave. A quick dip while applying preshave and it was ready to go!

For some reason my Ivory feels very different from my Jade. Not stiff at all, even on the first use if splayed easily and doesn't have the same scrub. Also it eats lather. Going to use it with a bowl and Arko! during Shark Week. We'll see how it goes.

I have two of the Ivory versions and neither is as dense and firm feeling as my Jade. I ordered the second Ivory with the hope that it might be a closer match to my Jade, but it wasn't. Still decent brushes, but I like my Jade a lot more.

Kind of glad to know I didn't just get an off brush. It is still quite nice. If only I can get it to stop gobbling lather...

I had Rudy Vey set a Premium Jade knot in a handle. I call it my Rudy Vey Premium Jade. I used it today.

This is going to be a fun month, thanks @Crisp Rat for starting this thread! I'll be using my Premium Jades most of my shaves this month. It's such a great performing brush, it's a pleasure having a reason to keep using them.

Hello friends

Cloudy start to the week here. I chose a desert island soap, MdC Fougère that combines divinely with the classics Brut and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme.

Accepting the great suggestion from this week's SOTD theme, I used the mighty Rex Ambassador (@4/3/2) for the second time. Together with a Perma-Sharp (2) they make quite a duo. Omega Jade perfect as always.

With us, the splendid voice of June Christy.

Just noticed this thread . I have both but the Ivory is as yet unused. It will be interesting to see if there is much difference. I read somewhere that Omega do not grade their boar hair as Semogue do. It is my understanding that the Premium label is solely down to the Premium handle which is specified by Connaught, The Jade I have used is certainly one of my better boar brushes and I enjoy it immensely when I use it.

Ooh, one of the original Jades with the medallion on it!

No soaking the Ivory today. Just a quick dunk and whipped up lots of lather in the bowl. Much better performance from the brush with this method.
