What's new

Is this the NEW Edge shaving cream ??

I thought they only have canned goos. I saw this in the TARGET shaving aisle this morning and am surprised. Did anybody use it and how does it perform ? I want to try it after I hear from what our fellow members say.

I had a tube, it has a minty chemical synthetic smell, just like most canned goos.

It doesn't lather at all, and I didn't think it was very slick either. It met the trash can fairly quickly.:eek:

After MichingaLovers description of what it is, I lost interest in it. I would rather try some real shaving cream with natural ingredients.

An interesting take on this might be that some Manufacturers are recognizing the uptick in sales of these "types" of products, and are trying to jump on the bandwagon.

What do we have to do to convince you people that it's infused?

Resistance is futile, we are Gillette.....:lol::lol:

I've been toying with this idea for awhile, and this thread might make me do it.

I like a fine lather as much as the next guy. Tabac, Old Spice soap or Old Spice cream from India, Dettol Fresh, Tom's of Maine, current and vintage Williams, Proraso, Palmolive, KMF, VDH, Col Conk, TRSC and a few I'm forgetting have all been great. Burt's Bees Bay Rum soap, not so much.

I'm going to try some of the Sues, TGQ and Krissy's tallow offerings. I might even put a little blue dye in my blood and try some of the three T's.

However.....

I know this will make me out to be more of a whackjob than any dozen grassy knoll, area 51 or fake moon landing conspiracy theorists, but I think I could shave for a week with a 99 cent can of Old Spice foam in a can and not only live to tell the tale, but get good shaves as well.

In another thread, we were discussing the future of shaving.

I predicted that many manufacturers would jump on the "Green" bandwagon, and start marketing their same ol' same ol' products in eco-friendly packages instead of aerosol cans.

Has anyone compared the ingredients of this tube of Edge cream to a can of Edge foam? I bet the two lists will be eerily similar, if not almost identical.

i was interested when i first backstocked it a few weeks before it set. i waited and waited but it never set and you cant buy anything from the backroom so i kind of forgot about it until i saw it while backstocking in the hba (health and beauty) stock room and decided to see if anybody had reviewed it here, they had and their review made me lose interest. i can tell you the only real decent shave products available at target are old spice and aqua velva after shave. everything else is what gillette and shick are trying to convince you is better. you know ive worked there too long when the first thing i notived is the fusion cartridges that fell from their peg in the background :rik1:

Agreed. It's shaving, not a religion. Gotta keep an open mind about these things.

The truth is out there.
