What's new

Is there a cream that smells like Aveen canned gel (almond/cherry) scent

I've been using the Aveeno Positively Smooth Shave Gel and it has a scent that has almond/cherry/marzipan undertones.

Does anyone who is familiar with the Aveeno scent know of any shave creams or soaps that have a similar scent?

I'm very happy with the performance of Aveeno, but my wife is not happy with the metal can as it can't be recycled.

Thanks

Some good almond creams are Salter, Cella, and TOBS.

If you're happy with the Aveeno gel, keep using it. I don't see how your wife can expect you to stop using a product just because the can cannot be recycled.

That's some good gel I ended up giving to my ad cause I don't use it anymore. You're talking about the one with the light blue top? TOBS would probly be your best smell closest to it.

I also used it before my venture into DE. Beyond being good goo in a can the claims of actually having to shave less ofter are true.... THIS STUFF WORKS.

How about checking to see if there are some handmade or handcrafted Canadian vendors that have one with that scent or are willing to order one or do a blend. I know there are almond fragrance oils that have that cherry undertone because I have one.

Check out P.160 soap. it is superloaded with cherry/almost/marzipan scent and it an awesome performer also. You can pick up a decent sized sample chunk for a little more than $4 from www.shoeboxshaveshop.com.

This is one of the best soaps I have used.

Trust me, you wouldn't have such a cavalier attitude if you had to deal with her wraith. Switching shave gels is a minor inconvenience compared to the 6 big recycling containers we keep in the house. Last night I made the mistake of not recycling a grocery receipt and it wasn't pretty.

That's the one I use. With the light blue plastic top. I really like the scent and the way it performs. It's very slick and on par with most of the creams I have used in the past. There is a place locally that sells TOBS Almond, so perhaps I'll give it a try.
