And, to think, Oud is Still in fashion!!
Who'd've thunk??

...like the frag I'm wearing today, Real Oud from Phoenicia Perfumes)
I don't even remember starting this thread.
Still have my samples. Still love the Oud.
My wife hates it though.
Interesting...
...on a whim I just ordered their sample set, thanks for the link!
I picked up 2 attars from Ensar Oud for my Wife...and she absolutely adores them.
Pink Papua (Still available)
Blue Kalabar (No longer available)
Pink Papua smells incredibly 'green' while still in the bottle, however it opens up incredibly once on the skin...amazing stuff indeed.
Big fan of Pink Papua. You're right -- it's amazing. However, I'm not a big fan of Ensar's. I think that for the most part his stuff is way overpriced.
Do you know about Agar Aura? Taha, the perfumer, is a great guy & ethical almost to a fault. Plus, he's now living in Kuala Lumpur & has a direct hand in all the distillations he's doing. He's also, imho, a much more talented perfumer than Ensar.
Welcome. I know the perfumer. He's a wacky guy, & incredibly talented. Curious to know your impressions once you've tried the stuff out.
Enjoy!
EDIT: If you can, order a sample of Oud Taiga as well. If you dig oud, it's well worth trying. And it's not part of the sample set.

I can't stand the stuff. Arabic perfume, for me, is horrific and they splash the stuff on heavily.
That said, I don't know whats being sold as "Oud" in the west.
I am not a big fan of those strong Ouds... comes off as bug spray to me to be honest.
