Irritation help

I need a little help. I tried two new products this morning and as a result my face is red and burning. BEfore starting my shave, I washed my beard area using Musgo Real Glyce Lime Oil soap. Today is the first time I've used the product. I decided to try it as a result of reading about it. The second new product I tried was Taylor of Old Bond Street Avocado cream. I am guessing that the Musco Real soap has caused this irritation rather than the TOBS. I learned one lesson already, only try one new product at a time.

My question really what to do about my face? I put on Nivea Sensitive Skin balm (I use this everyday) to try to soothe it. I'll probably take tomorrow off of shaving just because. Should I use both products again, just one at a time? If I use the Musco and it burns again what would be the cause of that? Is there something I can isolate so I can avoid that in all products in the future?

Thanks.

Also, my prep was a shower then washed my face in the Musco soap. I face lathered with the TOBS using the brush I always use. I shaved with a new Astra SP blade in a superspeed (same as always). I used an alum block after (always use this) and finished with the Nivea balm like always.

what other ingredients are in the pre shave soap? You could have a reaction to Lime Oil, if it is that the cause. did you notice any reaction right after you applied it?
could also have a reaction to Avocado in the TOBS. Try one at a time to isolate it. might want to rub some on your forearm instead of face to see if you react.

That sounds like a lot of products being used on sensitive skin.
I've never used Musgo but you can try rubbing some on your arm to see if you have a reaction. Same with the shave cream. Try it on the smooth part of the inside of your bicep where you'll be able to clearly detect any reaction or color change before you put it on your face again.
