How do these two lines of scents compare? I will be going to Germany in mid to late September and I was wondering which one of these would be good to take with me on the trip this time of year?

Tabac may be more associated with the colder months (fall, winter).
Irisch Moos, with its "green" scent, may by more associated with spring and summer.
As far as I know, Irisch Moos is no longer in production, but you should be able to find some lingering stock onlin.
Tabac is still plentiful and may actually be a fun purchase once you are in Germany, just for kicks.

They appear to both be the same soap formulation with a different scent.
Only Tabac will be available unless you go to some small shops that still have the Irisch Moos on their shelves as Irisch Moos is no longer made. Bad decision on their part.
If you do find some NOS Irisch Moos and you like the scent you might want to pick it up and bring it home with you.

SIM is mostly off the shelves now in germany except AS, deo and maybe something else. the last time I saw SIM soap was back in september or so when I picked up the last stick for 2.50 €. tabac is readily availible but the whole assortment is not available everywhere. DM, Müller, Rossman and other pharmacys have stock though.
That's a great time of year to be in Germany. Just in time for Oktoberfest. I vote for Tabac but plan on picking some other stuff up while there.
SIM is gone? Wow. Looks like I lucked out when I was in Munich a year ago when I got a tube.
The Irisch Moos Cream is still made. But the shave stick is no longer made.
