Bob, very nice work! Where do you get your knots for your brushes? They look like they are from the Golden Nib, and if so is it possible to use one of their UK knots for your brushes (extra $ paid by the buyer)?

Also, you live in Roswell?? I used to live off Warsaw road, and went to Centennial HS!!

Good luck with your venture, you have a nice product.

Thanks for the kind words.

I get my knots from Anthony at The Golden Nib and would be glad to use any of his knots for my brushes. If you're interested, just drop me an email.

Thanks,

Bob

A slant 37G with a long handle :w00t:

Bob,

Thanks to the efforts of the incredibly evil Sluggo, I now realize you do have Slants.

So, *ahem* hypothetically speaking, would it be possible to get a gold slant head on a long handle custom razor?

Curse you Sluggo!! Curse you!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Hypothetically speaking, anything is possible, but that isn't something I currently make. However, now you have me mentally working on a design specification for my new 37G-XL.

I'll keep you posted, thanks for planting the seed.

Bob

Wow. Those razors are beautiful. Also, along more practical lines, your website is very "clean" looking and easy to navigate, which is definitely a bonus! Good luck with the venture.

I'd be more than willing to "Beta Test" pre-production models for you.

I have received a number of inquiries about the weight of the customized Merkur razors vs. the factory original model.

The stone handles consistently weigh in as matching the weight of the factory handle, with the overall weight of the razor being unchanged from the Merkur standard.

Depending on the density of the wood species, the overall weight of the razor may range from unchanged to .3 oz. lighter than the standard.

My thanks to you all for your interest in my work,

Bob Quinn

Mine arrived yesterday and the craftsmanship, fit, and finish are all first rate. It looks even better in person than it does in pictures. I took a couple quick snapshots trying to show the wonderful grain of the wood. They are not that great but at least give a glimpse of what it looks like.

I will also add that the business end of this transaction was excellent. Bob answered one of my original questions within minutes and he kept me updated regularly after I made the purchase. The whole experience was quite pleasant and so I recommend Elite Razor most highly. Now, I think I'll go shave and test this beauty out!
