In praise of the Classic 2

If you prefer the backbone of a boar and the softness of a badger, but eschew some badgers' lather hogging tendencies, you might be a candidate for the diminutive Classic 2 in best by Simpson.

No, it will not dig-in, nor is it a weapon of choice for cleaning and exfoliating. But it virtually lathers itself and permits even the most vigorous application with surgical precision. It's perfect size keeps the lather thick to a 4th pass if you need such effort and to my mind renders its big bushy brothers and Wee Scott babe functionally less important. (My Duke rests fairly dry these days too.)

Could be the perfect only-badger for a boarman.

One of my favorite face lathering brushes for past several years.
